Midan Tahrir Cairo, Fall 2010 |
All hell broke loose in Egypt right after I left. It was heartwrenching to watch. I fell in love with Egypt and the Egyptians, and it was almost surreal to see the very places I came to associate with peace in such utter turmoil. Yet such is the paradox of the Middle East.
I have referred a lot of people to this blog in an effort to answer questions about traveling there. But since I won't be keeping this blog over time, I now refer its readers to my new one.
Please visit my author website for additional updates, and you may contact me there with questions or comments about these travels.
