Excerpts from Vesuvius

Howdy all,
I've gotta publicly thank Sara and Lindsay for being so awesomely encouraging.  Even if my writing sucks, they totally have me fooled that it doesn't!  So, since there are now people spending their own valuable time to read this silly blog about my travels, and my travels are for the purpose of this silly book, I went ahead and posted the beginning of said book on this blog!  Seemed apropo after a glass of wine.  Anyway, it's on the right hand side --->
It's broken up into segments to eliminate too much scrolling requirement on your part, and the segments are in order.  Enjoy!  But read slowly, because the rest is only partially written and you won't see it for a while.  Cheers!
